Hello
I’m Ashford Menezes, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and creative facilitator. But before any of that, I’m someone who’s always been drawn to meaning. I've tried to articulate my journey to give you an understanding of who I am, what I do and why I do it...
And this my story...
I was born and raised in Bombay, shaped by the chaos, colour, and creativity of city life. I’m of Goan origin, and after spending over three decades in the city, I returned to Goa to root myself in something slower, more intentional, and more real. But life, as it often does, had other plans, and we eventually moved to the United Kingdom.
My early years were marked by making the kind of content I wanted to see: raw, niche, and deeply rooted in culture. That became my film school. I later worked in the Indian film industry across ad films, TV, and cinema, where I learned the art and craft of storytelling from the inside out. I’ve directed two short films so far: God is Good and In His Time. They were simple, personal, and honest. They helped me rediscover my creative rhythm.
More recently, I began creating a range of content for digital platforms, including reflective series like Echoes of Truth and social-awareness series like Scams Unmasked. What started as an instinctive need to express something honest has grown into a creative laboratory where I explore story in all its forms. These videos are raw, quiet, and sometimes poetic, are helping me reclaim the voice I’d almost forgotten. Less performance. More presence.
And while I continue building toward telling stories for the big screen, stories of faith, hope, and love, I’ve realised I don’t have to wait. Storytelling is already happening, here and now.
Alongside my creative journey, I also embrace entrepreneurship. I believe it’s one of the most powerful ways to grow because when you take ownership of the task at hand, you don’t just build income and wealth, you build capacity. This mindset has taught me to be resourceful, open, and willing to grow through every opportunity that comes my way.
At the core of everything I do is my Catholic faith. It’s the foundation that keeps me grounded in what truly matters. And I’m walking in the direction of truth one day at a time.
Big ideas start with small conversations.
If something in my work resonated with you, let’s explore where it leads.
No pressure. Just a genuine chat to see what’s possible.
